Our Story

Axiom AI was founded by Whitney Threlkeld, a healthcare professional, and Hunter White, a US Army Special Forces Captain out of the Greater Orlando area. We specialize in software solutions using artificial intelligence for government applications. Axiom’s goal is to assist Government agencies to modernize the United States with cutting edge software solutions applying the newest technologies and applications of Artificial Intelligence. We offer solutions and services for Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering, Algorithm Development, Model Based Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Digital Engineering, and Software Design and Integration. Axiom is a small, women/minority, and socially/economically disadvantaged owned business

Founder/President

Whitney Threlkeld

Prior to her start with Axiom, Whitney has worked in the healthcare field for more than 10 years. First, serving the community as a Registered Nurse, then as an Occupational Therapist. Whitney holds a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida. The bulk of her career has focus on the rehabilitation of a multitude of clients in Level One Trauma Hospitals. Whitney has also received her Certificate in Project Management through Syracuse University. We are excited to have her meticulous attention to detail gained through her healthcare career and her project management skills here at Axiom AI.

Founder/CEO

Hunter White

Hunter White is a leader, entrepreneur and Green Beret with an active TS/SCI security clearance, 10 years of proven experience as an Officer in the United States Army, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was assigned to the 10th Special Forces Group, where he served as a ground force commander for multiple missions involving over 40 Special Forces members in a dynamic, fast – paced environment in Afghanistan, 2021. He also deployed with the 2nd Ranger Battalion to Afghanistan in 2016 were he served as a targeting operations officer against ISIS-K, Al-Qaeda, and the Taliban. His military training and education include the Special Forces Qualification Course, the Special Operations Forces Captains Career Course, Military Free Fall Parachutist Course, Combat Tracking Course, and Ranger School. He has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, the non-Article 5 NATO Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal – Campaign Star, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Director of Research and Development

Laura White

Laura White started her career as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, working alongside corneal and refractive surgeons, where her attention to detail helped her excel in both the clinical and surgical setting. From there, she attended Fayetteville State University where she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Her interest in biomedical research led her to East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine where she worked in a physiology lab focusing on urological and pelvic disease. She is currently finishing her MSc in biochemistry at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs with an anticipated graduation date of December 2022. Her current research involves incorporation of electrostatic preorganization into the synthetic enzyme design process through utilization of Bader’s Quantum Theory of Atoms in Molecules. Through her research, Laura has gained extensive experience in technical computing and modeling software, both valuable skills that she is excited to bring to the Axiom team.

 

Director of Artificial Intelligence

Richard Threlkeld

Richard Threlkeld, MS has over a decade of experience with research and development in operations, academics, defense contractors, and commercial entities. He served as a captain in both active and reserve components of the United States Army. After active duty, he continued to serve the Department of Defense in academia working as a principal investigator for multiple defense projects with DTRA, JPEO, SCO, and the Army. He also has experience as a principal investigator and chief architect working for traditional defense contractors on multiple DoD and digital enterprise projects. In addition, he also has led commercial and government research covering a wide range of technologies including digital twins, model based engineering, position, navigation, and timing, power electronics, robotics, autonomy, quantum, artificial intelligence, and harsh environment electronics.
