Techinical TEam

Laura White
Laura White started her career as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, working alongside corneal and refractive surgeons, where her attention to detail helped her excel in both the clinical and surgical setting. From there, she attended Fayetteville State University where she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Her interest in biomedical research led her to East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine where she worked in a physiology lab focusing on urological and pelvic disease. She is currently finishing her MSc in biochemistry at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs with an anticipated graduation date of December 2022. Her current research involves incorporation of electrostatic preorganization into the synthetic enzyme design process through utilization of Bader’s Quantum Theory of Atoms in Molecules. Through her research, Laura has gained extensive experience in technical computing and modeling software, both valuable skills that she is excited to bring to the Axiom team.
